About Steve Rodgers.

Steve Rodgers is the Owner and Principal Consultant at SARC. Steve commenced his professional engineering career in 1979 as an Officer in the Australian Army’s Corps of Engineers. During his ten years as a career army officer he was posted to various engineering roles including construction management of Army facilities across Australia and a secondment to John Holland Asia where he worked on railway reconstruction projects in Malaysia.

In 1989 Stephen left the Army to pursue a career in construction which has subsequently centred on large scale multi-discipline natural resource projects (i.e. oil & gas and mining industry) and major infrastructure projects. This experience has been gained in Australia and internationally in Asia, Pacific, South America, Kazakhstan and Africa. Typically he has been involved in projects from inception through to operations with capital values varying from US$10’sM to US$6+Bn. Steve has worked in roles from project engineer through to senior project director; business unit operations manager and senior executive roles (in public listed companies).

The majority of his professional career has been spent with the following blue chip companies:
• John Holland
• Thiess
• Chevron

Steve has also been involved in the planning; formation of new businesses in the engineering and service sectors. He has also worked independently as a consultant to the construction and minerals industry.
